If you’re thinking of giving your home a new look, keep reading. Vaibhav Jain, CEO of Deco Window, shares décor trends for 2018 that you can incorporate into your home interiors. The Mandalas : Mandalas will be big in 2018 and mandala-inspired elements will be available for practically every aspect of home décor – cushions, wall paintings, wall stickers and even mandala print curtains. Make sure you don’t overdo it though. Just one element with this intricate design is enough to add depth to your home.
Colour pop: Monochromes and 50 shades of one colour, which led to the trend of layering of a colour, is a thing of the past. Designers are adopting a colour-pop strategy, where pops of colour will be introduced into a monochromatic colour scheme.
Open shelves: In 2018, we will also say goodbye to the heavy showcase. In fact, showcases will almost disappear from the home décor vocabulary. They will be replaced by open shelves and direct wall fixtures. Open shelves provide the option of expansion, without any major alteration in your budget.
Natural elements: Desk plants, use of seashells or even twisted and dried branches in pots will be one of the favoured home accessories of 2018. With a love for nature taking a serious turn, people will be opting for such natural elements to accentuate their interiors, instead of going for expensive décor elements.
